City Council Districts
How it Works
City Showdown features 10 local artists or bands who each represent a city council district. From Monday, November 18 to Sunday, December 8, online viewers voted for their favorite song to influence who wins the contest.
The winner of City Showdown, which will be announced by next week, will receive bragging rights for the year along with a $250 H-E-B gift card.
City Showdown Jury
This season, KLRN City Showdown features a jury that also voted on the competing artists. The jury is comprised of 11 people ranging in ages from 15 to over 50, who have an interest or expertise in music and the arts.
Members of the jury were asked to objectively rank the 10 district artists based on their music videos. Collectively, the jury awarded 605 points to the contestants. Individual juror scores will not be revealed.
