City Councilman Justin Rodriguez

Bexar County’s decision to open a mega-voting site at the AT&T Center seemed like a good idea. That is, until the county got a bill for $250,000 from the Spurs to cover the cost of using the venue.

The cost was much more than for any other voting site in the county. Tonight, On The Record host T.J. Mayes asks County Commissioner Justin Rodriguez what happened. Who didn’t check the price, and why?

Next, San Antonio District 1 City Councilman Roberto Trevino talks about how the city should deal with an increasing number of homeless people. We continue the topic with Katie Vela, head of the South Alamo Regional Alliance for the Homeless.

On Reporter’s Roundtable, Sanford Nowlin with the SA Current, and Gilbert Garcia with the San Antonio Express News talk about the top news stories of 2020.

On The Record airs at 7 p.m. Thursdays.
