In celebration of their 25th anniversary, the organization has a line-up of special performances scheduled for their 2017 season right here in the Alamo City. ARTS received an exclusive look into what makes this organization thrive deep in the heart of Texas and continue to inspire the local art scene.
Arts SA globally scouts out talented artists to perform in San Antonio. Their mission is to inspire audiences by bringing exceptional arts experiences to the people, stages, and classrooms of San Antonio. For the past 25 years, they have been doing just that— expanding the cultural and artistic consciousness of the community.
World- renowned artists travel from across the country to provide audiences unforgettable entertainment-filled experiences. Countries represented include Ireland, China, Argentina, Austria, Brazil among others. Most artists are traveling to San Antonio for the first time, taking away with them some Texan cultural influences and a sense of what the local arts scene has to offer.
To further enhance the cultural scene, Arts SA offers ArtsTeach workshops for students, senior citizens, social service agencies and senior living centers across town. With a mission to share the artistic wealth with a multitude of communities limited in resources, ArtsTeach gives its participants the encouragement to develop new artistic skills.
In honor of Arts SA’s anniversary, a celebratory gala filled with Cajun cuisine, music and dancing will be held on Thursday, March 2 at 6:30 p.m. at Boudro’s Texas Bistro.
