KLRN and the San Antonio Brahmas teamed up to encourage kids to read!
1st & Goal is a new program created to inspire school-aged children to read their way to a touchdown. Teachers and parents can help students participate.
Each student who completes the program will earn one ticket to a Brahmas regular season game and more. Families can purchase additional tickets with a 20-percent discount to celebrate their student's achievement.
This program is supported by Firstmark Credit Union.
Program highlights:
- Free resource for educators, libraries, clubs and parents
- Can be used to supplement existing curriculum
- Set your own requirements and goals, such as number of books to read, number of pages to read, hours spent reading, etc.
- Brahmas will supply:
- Educator packet with educator checklist and parent instructions
- A poster to track student/s success
- Ticketing logistics – just share a link with parent when student scores a touchdown
- A representative to help answer questions, and assist if needed
- Educators, faculty and staff receive a 20-percent discount ticket offer
