Pinkalicious & Peterrific Screening Resources

Email share

Thank you so much for joining us for the Pinkalicious & Peterrific Screening.

The KLRN Education team works hard to bring families educational and fun activities that help bring joy to your day. Funding is provided for these PBS Kids screenings by the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Through this project KLRN is able to support families with children ages 0-5 with many resources.

Here are a few of those resources that we mentioned today during the screening:

Bright By Text

Bright by Text is a FREE parent and caregiver messaging program that sends tips and resources promoting child development, targeted to a child’s age from birth to 5 years old. We share quality information and trusted resources that are comprised of research-based content from Bright by Three and other trusted providers, such as PBS KIDS, PBS Parents, Vroom, The Fred Rogers Company and Sesame Workshop. To opt-in, text KLRN to 274448, or sign up here.

Play & Learn

Play & Learn offers families with young children (ages 0-5 years old) an opportunity to connect in a virtual family-friendly, educational environment.

Each series is 8 weeks. At each virtual session, we offer child-directed learning opportunities and activities for children ages 0-5 years old, including music, dance and story time. The program is designed to promote adult/child interaction. Adults work with the child to paint, build structures, and engage in conversation.

Funding is provided by the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. To save your spot for the next Play & Learn group fill out this form or email playandlearn@klrn.org.

Learn at Home page

KLRN’s new Learn at Home page is a great resource to families and educators. You can find resources such as a calendar of activities to complete with your children, PreK-2nd grade activity pages and Educator resources for grades K-12 tied to PBS programming.

We hope you enjoyed the screening and learned about some new resources that KLRN has available for children and families. Below are some more wonderful Pinkalicious & Peterrific resources and activities.

  • Explore PBS Parents with these activities:
  1. Pinkalicious & Peterrific activities
  2. Pinkalicious & Peterrific games

Like the characters in the videos, children are encouraged to experiment with different painting techniques and materials.
