KLRN digital policies

Nothing is more important to us than protecting the private information of our visitors and making our digital policies a safe haven. KLRN adheres to a strict policy for ensuring the privacy of your — and your children's — personally identifiable information (such as full name, address, email, telephone number or other identifiable information).

Gathering and using information

1. We will not collect personally identifiable information from you, other than what you supply to us on a voluntary basis.
    
2. To join some activities, you might be asked to provide some personally identifiable information. This could be in connection with the following:
   - A contest or sweepstakes registration
   - A subscription registration for sites or services that require a subscription (such as email newsletters)

Tracking and using cookies

KLRN uses cookie technology through our PBS online localization options. By entering your zip code and then your station, a cookie assigns you a unique number (with no meaning whatsoever outside the customization process) that recalls this information each time you visit. As a result, you are able to customize your browsing experiences. At no time will this cookie reveal to others your name, email, street address or telephone number.

Use of SMS and MMS

When you opt in to receive SMS or MMS messages from KLRN, your mobile phone number is collected and securely managed by a trusted third-party messaging partner on our behalf. This information is used solely to deliver timely messages related to your interactions with us, such as a link to our donation page and information on how to contact us. Message frequency may vary.

Message and data rates may apply. Charges are based on your wireless carrier plan. KLRN is not responsible for any charges.

We will not share your mobile information with any other third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, including opt-in data and consent, which are used only to provide requested messaging and will not be shared under any other circumstances.

You may opt out of receiving messages at any time by texting STOP to the number from which you received the message.

Website donations

These are the terms and conditions which govern each use you make of the donation payment services provided through the website.

These terms and conditions apply separately to each single donation that you make. Except as provided for in section 5, ‘Monthly Donations’, and unless specified by you, they do not form a contract allowing for future or successive transactions to be set up. By confirming on the website that you wish to donate you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions for that donation.

1. The donation services

All payments through the website are to be made by payment card or ACH/electronic debit transaction.

Once you confirm to us through the website that you wish to proceed with your donation your transaction will be processed through our payment services provider. By confirming that you wish to proceed with your donation you authorize us to request funds from your credit or debit card provider or bank account.

2. Unauthorized card or bank account use

If you become aware of fraudulent use of your card or bank account information, or if it is lost or stolen, you must notify your card provider and/or bank.

3. Information from you

Before we can process a donation, you must provide us with (i) your name, address, and email address; and (ii) details of the credit, debit card, or bank account that you wish to use to fund the donation. We will use this information to process your donation. It is your responsibility to ensure you have provided us with the correct information.

When you submit your payment details, your payment data will be collected and processed securely by us.

We won’t share your personal details with any other third party other than as set out in our Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy forms part of these donation payment terms and conditions and by agreeing to these terms and conditions you are also agreeing to the way we use and protect your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.

4. Refund policy

If you make an error in your donation, please contact us either by email at [membership email], by phone at [membership phone number] or by mail at [station address] within 14 days and a full refund will be made to you.

5. Monthly donations

This Section will only apply to successive donations made through the website where you have set up a monthly donation. When you set up a monthly donation you will be scheduling a series of donations to be made on the day of the month that you choose until further notice. You agree that these terms and conditions will apply to each of the donations in that series.

By confirming that you wish to proceed with a monthly donation you authorize us to request funds from your credit, debit card or bank account on the day of each month that you set.

6. General

We reserve the right to amend these donation payment terms and conditions at any time.

These donation payment terms and conditions are governed by US law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the US courts.

Acceptance of KLRN's online policy

By using this site, you signify your agreement to the terms and conditions of this online policy. We reserve the right to change, modify, add or remove portions of this policy at any time.
