KLRN airs several programs to help adult learners prepare for
college, succeed in getting a job, refine job skills or earn high
school equivalency. Additionally, KLRN airs an annual college preparation program each spring to connect parents and students with college admissions
and financial aid experts.
Roadtrip Nation and KLRN Work Together to Help Students Define Their Road in Life
Roadtrip Nation and KLRN have formed a unique collaboration with Brackenridge High School (located in the San Antonio ISD) through The Roadtrip Nation Experience, an educational curriculum that guides students through an explorative process to discover pathways that are relevant to their individual aspirations. As part of this mission, KLRN and Roadtrip Nation have developed a local online portal where students, teachers, parents, and community members alike can engage in discussions about the current season of the public television series Roadtrip Nation, and watch interviews from Roadtrip Nation with a San Antonio-area twist. Under the guidance of their teacher and with the assistance of Roadtrip Nation and KLRN, the students will plan a local roadtrip, interview inspirational leaders, and record the process by uploading media content to the online portal. These sponsored roadtrips will culminate in a special screening with Roadtrip Nation and KLRN in Spring 2011. Roadtrip Nation currently airs Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. on KLRN 9.2.
Café College: Your Future is Brewing
KLRN’s Café College: Your Future is Brewing connects parents and students with college admissions and financial aid counselors during a pre-taped program each spring. The program includes interviews with leaders from local colleges and universities, and current college students. Special thanks go to our project partner, the San Antonio Education Partnership, for their help in
making this event a success.

GED Connection
At the heart of GED Connection are 39 TV programs. These engaging documentary style videos introduce content and give learners a chance to hear from experts in various fields. Students hear and see how the skills they are learning for the GED exam relate to work, home and community life. GED Connection is currently airing on KLRN 9.2 (World) every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

TV 411
TV411 is a television series for adults who want to strengthen their literacy skills. Each half-hour episode of TV411 consists of discrete segments hosted by both fictional and real-life personalities.
