.Fresh Cut 2010

Contest Dates: Feb. 1 - March 26, 2010
Fresh Cut is the premier video contest for budding high school filmmakers in KLRN’s viewing area. Selected works will be featured in a special one-hour program airing on KLRN in May 2010. Fresh Cut is looking for submissions in these categories:

Documentary
(Biography, Historical Event, News, News Feature, Mini Documentary)
Abstract/Experimental (Music Video, Non-Narrative)
Animation/Multimedia (Computer Generated Video Animation)
Short Narrative (Tells a Story, Mini-Drama)
Educational (Teaches an Educational Concept)
Other (Foreign Language—Subtitled, Public Service Announcement)


Remember :
Each entry must be five minutes or less and created during the 2009-2010 school year
All music must be cleared for both broadcast and online rights
Only five entries per school are allowed and must be submitted on DVD
Entries submitted in a previous Fresh Cut Contest may not be resubmitted
Each entry will be evaluated on: Audio and Video Quality, Camera Operation, Visual Creativity,
Story/Script, Editing, Use of Special Effects, and Overall Impression

THE NATIONAL PARKS UNTOLD STORIES PROJECT:
The Untold Stories project brings to light stories focusing on the role of African Americans, Asian Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans in the creation and protection of individual parks. Five original short films were created, and one of those films is about the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. Click here to watch the film.
