.Fresh Cut 2011

SAFILM is screening Fresh Cut 2011 at Main Plaza on Wed., July 27 from 8:30pm -10pm. These are films from Harlandale High School-HISD, North East School of the Arts-NEISD, Saint Mary's Hall, SAY SI, and Thomas Jefferson High School – SAISD. FREE and open to the public!

Fresh Cut is the premier video contest for budding high school filmmakers in KLRN’s viewing area. Entries selected for Fresh Cut 2011 were screened at the 2011 SAFILM - San Antonio Film Festival in June 2011. Selected works were featured in a special one-hour program airing on KLRN in July 2011. Fresh Cut is looking for submissions in these categories:

(Biography, Historical Event, News, News Feature, Mini Documentary)
Abstract/Experimental (Music Video, Non-Narrative)
Animation/Multimedia (Computer Generated Video Animation)
Short Narrative (Tells a Story, Mini-Drama)
Educational (Teaches an Educational Concept)
Other (Foreign Language—Subtitled, Public Service Announcement)

Remember :
Each entry must be five minutes or less and created during the 2011-2012 school year
All music must be cleared for both broadcast and online rights
Only five entries per school are allowed and must be submitted on DVD
Entries submitted in a previous Fresh Cut Contest may not be resubmitted
Each entry will be evaluated on: Audio and Video Quality, Camera Operation, Visual Creativity,
Story/Script, Editing, Use of Special Effects, and Overall Impression
