KLRN is seeking a Coordinating Producer to develop, design, supervise and produce all local television productions from conception to completion.
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Television Production, Communication or related field, 5-10 years of proven television production experience (Public Television producing preferred); have a strong ability to communicate both orally and in writing with management, staff, and external clients; be able to make presentations of program ideas to both management and outside agencies to solicit their financial support; have a history of successfully completing projects on time and on budget.
KLRN is seeking candidates who have an affinity for PBS and a media sales background, preferably with experience in the local advertising industry.
The Account Executive will operate as an outside sales consultant on an independent contractor basis and is responsible for the sale of 15- and 30-second corporate sponsorship on-air messages and event sponsorships. The Account Executive is expected to support KLRN’s growing corporate support team while providing superior client service to underwriters. This is a commission only position with higher than average compensation.
KLRN is seeking a highly-organized individual to become part of its education team. This full-time, entry-level position is responsible for providing administrative and operational assistance that supports the mission of KLRN and Education Department initiatives.
This support includes overall department activities and support required in coordinating educational workshops, professional development programs (services) and events. Job duties and work hours and days may vary.
The successful candidate will have organizational ability with a proven track record of successfully handling numerous date sensitive activities, and possess strong verbal and written bilingual (English-Spanish) communication skills. This position requires a high school diploma and a minimum of two years of related professional experience. Extreme flexibility in work schedule is a must. Computer skills such as working with databases, spreadsheets and word processing are essential.
